Every application in PlaceHub has a status that indicates where it is in the application process. Understanding these statuses helps you track and manage applications effectively. This article explains each status and what it means for your applicants.
Important: All PlaceHub events are different and the descriptions below are a general guide. Please refer to your specific event information for more details.
Application Status Definitions
Waitlisted
The applicant has been added to the waitlist and can be promoted to the "Received" status. Fundraising pages can be created in this status if enabled at the event level, but most typically a fundraising page won't be created for the applicant in this state.
Received
The applicant is waiting to be "Accepted" or "Rejected." You can decide whether to accept applicants immediately or wait for them to begin fundraising first. Fundraising pages can be created in this status if enabled at the event level.
Accepted
The applicant has been accepted into your PlaceHub program. Applicants are automatically notified of their acceptance via email.
Rejected
The applicant has been rejected from the program. You can choose whether to notify applicants via email when rejecting their application.
Claimed
Optional status - not used for all events
The applicant has claimed their place in the event by completing their registration information on Grassrootz.
Rescinded
The applicant previously claimed their Charity Place but has since been rejected. Their application status automatically changes to "Rescinded" when this occurs.
Status Flow Overview
The typical application journey follows this path:
Waitlisted (if applicable) → Received → Accepted
Applications can be moved to Rejected or Rescinded at various points in the process depending on event settings.
