PlaceHub Fundraising Guarantee

Overview

The PlaceHub Fundraising Guarantee helps ensure your Charity Place fundraisers meet their fundraising goals. When enabled, applicants must provide their credit card details during application.

How It Works

Secure Storage: Credit card information is tokenised and stored securely through Stripe - no card details are stored on Grassrootz servers.

Manual Control: Charges are never processed automatically. If your accepted fundraisers don't raise the minimum fundraising amount before the fundraising deadline you can decide to charge the shortfall amount to their supplied credit card.

Enabling the Fundraising Guarantee

Access Your Program

• Navigate to PlaceHub in the left sidebar
• Click the three dots (⋯) next to your event
• Select "Edit program"

Enable the Guarantee

• Click "Fundraising guarantee" on the left hand side
• Toggle on "Enable credit card holding as a fundraising guarantee"

Add Custom Terms (Optional)

• Enable "Terms and conditions" if you want applicants to agree to custom terms
• Add a Title for your terms (optional)
• Enter your Agreement content

Save Changes

• Click the blue "Publish" button to activate your settings

Processing Shortfalls

When a fundraiser doesn't meet their minimum target by your deadline:

1. Contact Support: Email [e-mail] with the fundraiser's details
2. Provide Information: Include the shortfall amount and fundraiser information
3. Authorise Charge: Our team will process the charge to cover the difference

Please note: We can only charge the shortfall if your applicant is in a "Accepted" or "Claimed" state
