People can now make monthly contributions to charities and we've added multiple ways for donors to sign up:
- (1) through a link that we've automatically created for each charity;
- (2) donors will be given the choice between a once-off and monthly donation in your campaigns;
- and (3) during ticket purchases, the option to make a donation has been expanded to include one-off donations or monthly.
The direct link is a page we've created so that each charity can share. Here is an example: https://example.grassrootz.com/recurring/new
To find your direct link you would click ‘Recurring’ in the top ribbon and select URL.
Adding recurring giving to an existing campaign is quick to do. Click ‘Campaigns’ in the top ribbon, and ‘...’ next to the corresponding campaign. Select ‘edit’.
On the left hand side select donations and scroll to the bottom of the page. Here you will be able to offer single and recurring donations, or just single donations. Make sure to hit 'Save all'!
To add recurring donations to the ticketing workflow select ‘Ticketing’ on the left hand side, and scroll to ‘Donation Information’.
Recurring donation settings. A new ‘recurring option’ has been added to the top ribbon of your admin account. This will allow you to see and manage recurring donors, as well as configure the look and feel, the dollar handles, and some of the text for the direct link for recurring donors (e.g. https://example.grassrootz.com/recurring/new).
How do recurring donors manage their donation? Recurring donors get an email on sign-up that gives them access to their own Self-Service module, or page.
This means they can perform actions such as change the amount, payment method, etc - without having to reach out to the charities or Grassrootz support!
A donor will be able to change:
- The personal details shown on your receipts;
- Credit card details;
- The amount donated;
- And stop the donation.
