Setting up events on ACTIVE

Grassrootz and ACTIVEWorks Endurance have recently released a new fundraising integration for Australia and New Zealand, designed to enhance giving and make the set up process much more straightforward for event organisers. It offers a number of benefits, such as:

• Automatic creation of fundraising pages upon registration, as well as allowing users to choose to fundraise but select a charity later on.
• Integrated one-off donations during registration that are paid to charities nearly instantly.
• Tiers can now be shown seamlessly in Active, reflecting your Grassrootz configuration.
• Team support, which helps ensure your members can join your registration and fundraising teams in one go.
• Charity direct link support, which provides each charity with a distinct URL that pre-selects them on the fundraising flow to maximise exposure.

In the Giving Section of your event builder, you'll now see the option to add Grassrootz as the fundraising platform, rather than create a manual fundraising question that was required previously. You will now be able to import all the connected charities, establish the charities in different tiers and allow one off in registration donations to select organisations. 

Select Grassrootz as the fundraising platform you will be using for the event. Next, request from our team your event's Grassrootz ID, which will be the first part of your event URL. For example for True Grit SA 2024, the event hub link was: https://truegritsa24.grassrootz.com/ - In Active, the Grassrootz ID would be "truegritsa24" (without the quotes). The fundraising hub will need to be built before you can link the two platforms. To have Grassrootz set up an event hub for you, please contact us at [e-mail].

Once the connection is established in Active, all the charities configured on Grassrootz will automatically sync with Active. The charities associated with your event will then appear on the registration form. Any adjustments to how tiers are displayed, donation settings, or fundraising configurations for each charity will be managed by the Grassrootz team.
