For Grassrootz campaigns, donors have the ability to make their donation either by card or by bank transfer. Card donations will be processed instantly and the funds moving directly into a charity's Stripe account. Bank transfer donations work differently.
When a donation is made via bank transfer, the donor's bank and Stripe are required to validate the donation and approve it. The donation will appear publicly on Grassrootz and the donor will receive an email from us explaining that the donation has been made and once confirmed by the bank, they'll receive their receipt.
To determine the source of the donation, make sure the 'source' column is toggled on in your "Donations" tab as well as the 'refunded' and 'status' columns. While the donation is being confirmed, it will be listed as 'pending' and the status will appear as 'not paid'. Once confirmed, the donation source will change to 'online' and the status will change to 'collected from customer'. If the donations fails, the money will be returned to the donor, the refunded column will show 'yes' and it will remain as 'pending'.
When it comes to exporting your donation information you can choose to filter out these pending donations if you wish by clicking 'filter', then 'source', then selecting 'online'.
